True Business together with Rayong Technical College and EEC Automation Park organized a workshop for manufacturing industry organizations and educational personnel in the technology sector on the topic "Industry 4.0 Transformation: 5G Technology & Artificial Intelligence (AI)". Focusing on the application of 5G technology and AI in the industrial 4.0 sector. The event was held at Rayong Technical College on December 19 2022.
True Business was honored to have the technical experts from various organizations sharing knowledge and experience regarding 5G and AI technologies that can be applied in various manufacturing sectors. In this event, there were participants from both industry and academia organizations who were willing to update new knowledge so it can be used to develop and prepare for further future use efficiently.
Dr. Preesan Rakwatin, Executive Vice President of Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa),mentioned the importance of technology in driving the economy through digital platforms and added that DEPA would create the connection and develop an economic ecosystem between service providers and users. DEPA intends to support funds to develop projects and initiate digital industry businesses such as HealthTech, EduTech, FinTech, etc., in order to extend and develop good projects in the future.
Mr. Chawanchai Trakunkiat from Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. remarked about the importance of 5G which is capable of providing eMBB by emphasizing on faster receiving and sending data. In this way, users would be able to take advantage of data transmission and work with other devices at the most efficient level.
Mr. Santiparp Jamsai from True Corporation Co., Ltd. Public Company Limited said that there were various forms of applying 5G and other solutions for either corporate customers or industrial factories. Customers were able to select according to the needs and budget with the aim to transform the organization into a Smart Factory that responds to the development in the era of Industry 4.0.
Mr.Sumate Kamngammuang from Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co.,
Ltd. stated that Mitsubishi Electric has designed the iQ Manufacturing SME framework basedon the principle of SMKL (Smart Manufacturing Kaizen Level) to create and develop the Data Collection & Visualizations system. The system is capable of collecting and comparing data. The system itself is reliable and secured and has the ability to help control and display the overall production process. Moreover, Sumate also introduced the Digitize process as a standard process that can be developed by either small and medium businesses.
Subsequently, Mr. Damrong Jintasirikool, a Senior Professional Level Teacher in Instrument and Control Department, Rayong Technical College, presented Cira CORE, an AI platform developed by Thai people and used in a variety of industries including the education sector. There was a demonstration of a crosswalk safety management model operating by AI technology. The mentioned project is the work of students of King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Rayong Campus.
At the end of the session, the participants visited the RTC-IAI Center, the artificial intelligence center for industry of Rayong Technical College. The learning center displays the artificial intelligence learning model of 6-axis industrial robotic arm and 3D Vision. The AI Learning showcase is an industrial robotic arm that works with humans and can be used in industrial applications to speed up the processes, reduce production costs, and reduce risks and dangers in the work area.
