On November 29, 2023, TrueBusiness was awarded the Gartner Eye on Innovation Awards 2023 for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. TrueBusiness won this award for the 5G Smart Station project, specifically for the Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station. This station is the first smart station prototype in Thailand and ASEAN that utilizes 5G technology to enhance the quality of services provided at the station. The objective is to establish a 5G network that covers the entire Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station area, in order to support the usage of various IoT devices within the station and create a positive user experience for service users. This project has received significant support from both the public and private sectors. The Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station serves as a prototype smart station, demonstrating Thailand's preparedness to enhance its transportation capabilities and move towards becoming a Smart City in the future.
*The Eye on Innovation Awards for Communication Service Providers (CSPs) is a competition that aims to recognize and reward CSPs for their use of innovative technology in driving innovation initiatives. Gartner assessed all submissions in three regions: APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
